This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the repair of a damaged commutator on Motor Number #2 at the Folsom Pumping Plant. The Folsom Pumping Plant is critical for providing water to surrounding areas, and this repair is essential for maintaining reliable water supply. The acquisition is 100% set aside for Small Business concerns.

• Motor Repair: Disconnect, pick up, and transport the damaged motor to a repair facility. Remove the exciter assembly. Replace the damaged commutator and install a new one, ensuring proper fit and alignment. Reinstall the armature, dynamically balance it, and ensure smooth operation.

• Testing and Inspection: Conduct comprehensive testing, including exciter output, brush monitoring, vibration analysis, voltage and amp readings, bearing temperature monitoring, insulation resistance (IR) testing, High Potential (Hi-Pot) testing, winding resistance testing, polarization index (PI) testing, surge testing, core loss testing, and no-load/full-load testing.

• Delivery: Deliver the fully repaired motor back to the Folsom Pumping Plant.

• Pump Motor Alignment: Ensure proper alignment of the pump motor for optimal performance.

• Reports: Provide reports summarizing test results following motor repair and alignment.

• Warranty: A warranty of 365 days from installation or 720 run hours, whichever occurs first, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) service contract.

• Period of Performance: Within sixty (60) calendar days from the date of contract award.

• Estimated Value: $12.5 Million (Size Standard).

• Evaluation Criteria: Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Award will be made to the technically acceptable offer with the lowest evaluated price. Offerors must submit a capability statement demonstrating technical knowledge and experience with similar motor repairs.

• Set-Aside: 100% set aside for Small Business concerns. Large businesses are not eligible to submit quotes.
