Key Requirements for Offerors
Offerors must be commercial distributors of fresh bread and bakery products, capable of direct delivery. They must have a computer system for accepting delivery orders and processing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions (832, 850, 810, 864, 997) via the STORES system. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) is mandatory. A comprehensive Food Defense Plan is required prior to contract performance, and adherence to Berry Amendment requirements is necessary. Contractors must also be prepared for Quality Systems Management Visits (QSMVs) and audits, maintaining an 85% acceptability standard.
