Scope of Work
The requirement involves furnishing engineering and technical service support, and facilities maintenance services, to assist the F&L Branch in its mission of providing Research, Development, Testing, and Engineering (RDT&E) support for homogeneous and integrated fuels, lubricants, greases, hydraulic fluids, coolants, thermal management fluids, degreasing solvents, and corrosion preventative compounds for the U.S. Army’s ground vehicle and ground support equipment fleet.
Specific engineering and technical services include:
- Performing Physico-chemical analyses and testing of various fluids.
- Engine durability testing (up to 1,500 bhp), powertrain, and engine/fuel system component testing.
- Design, fabrication, and installation of component test rigs.
- Developing and administering test methods, vehicle, and fleet testing.
- Fuel blending, handling, and storage, and testing to ASTM and Military Standards.
- Tribological testing and long-term fuel bladder testing.
Facilities maintenance services encompass:
- General supervision of laboratory operations and overall facilities.
- Building maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing).
- Equipment maintenance, installation, inventory, and repair.
- Safety compliance, stockroom operations, janitorial services, and laboratory housekeeping.
- Calibration of Government-owned test hardware.
