This solicitation is for the procurement of one (1) new, unused, current production motor grader shoulder retriever for the Gila National Forest. The equipment is intended for use in road maintenance operations on National Forest System roads, specifically for cleaning drainages and pulling surfacing materials back onto the roadway for blading. The equipment must be hydraulically operated from inside the cab and capable of raising, lowering, and effectively cleaning alongside roadways.

• Anticipated Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price.

• The government intends to make one award.

• Period of Performance: June 15, 2026, to October 15, 2026.

• Delivery Date: October 15, 2026.

• Offerors must submit pricing for all items to be considered responsive.

• Quotations will be evaluated based on the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) criteria.

• Technical Acceptability: Evaluated as "acceptable" or "unacceptable." Requires details on ability to deliver per specifications, manufacturer product specifications (confirming compatibility with Caterpillar 140 and 150 motor graders), warranty information, and delivery timeline.

• Price: Will be evaluated for fairness and reasonableness.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The U.S. Forest Service, Gila National Forest, requires the procurement of one (1) new, unused, current production motor grader shoulder retriever for road maintenance operations.

• Furnish and deliver one (1) motor grader shoulder retriever with associated mounting hardware and components.

• The retriever shall be hydraulically operated from inside the motor grader cab.

• It will be used to clean drainages and pull surfacing materials back onto the roadway for blading.

• The equipment shall be similar to the MG-CSR Shoulder retriever manufactured by Craig Attachments, meeting or exceeding specified salient characteristics.

• Designed for attachment to the side of a motor grader during gravel road maintenance.

• Compatible with Caterpillar 140 and Caterpillar 150 motor graders.

• Minimum 8-disk unit with 18” diameter.

• Minimum 4-foot offset from the motor grader.

• Minimum width of 6 feet.

• Structural frame designed for heavy-duty road maintenance.

• Includes all hardware and hydraulic hoses for attachment to Caterpillar 140/150 frames without structural modifications to the grader.

• Includes fittings and materials for operator control inside the cab.

• Designed for safe operation during travel and maintenance.

• Manufacturer product specifications (confirming compatibility).
