Quick Summary

The Government Publishing Office (GPO) is soliciting proposals for the G-Street Sidewalk Repair Project at its Headquarters in Washington, D.C. This project involves the structural repair and restoration of the sidewalk and its underlying vault ceiling to enhance pedestrian safety and improve structural integrity. The Government intends to award one Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract based on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation.

The successful offeror will provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to demolish and install the sidewalk slab, and to repair and renovate the vaults, beams, concrete slab, waterproofing membrane, and columns. The primary objective is to eliminate water migration into the basement of the GPO G Street Facility. Key tasks include pre-construction activities, site preparation, demolition, material logistics, construction (grading, structural components, MEP, finishes, weatherproofing), safety, quality control, and project closeout. The contractor must obtain all required permits, traffic control plans, and safety/security approvals. Detailed technical specifications for various construction and repair tasks, including selective demolition, concrete work, stone repair, masonry, metal repair, waterproofing, and painting, are provided in Attachment J-2. Comprehensive construction drawings (Architectural, Civil, Structural) are available in Attachment J-1 to guide the scope of work.
