• The amendment extends the deadline for offer receipt. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment. Failure to do so may result in rejection of the offer. Changes to offers already submitted are permitted via letter or electronic communication, provided it references the solicitation and amendment and is received before the specified opening hour and date.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (RFQ) for Solid Waste Removal services for Grand Canyon National Park, North Rim, Arizona. The National Park Service intends to solicit quotes for this commercial item.

• Provision of (12) 6CY dumpsters and service in accordance with Table 1 in Section 3.

• Pickups are scheduled Monday through Friday between 0600 and 1800.

• Contractor is responsible for consolidating dumpsters during off-season, potential snow damage, and ensuring dumpsters remain usable and animal-entry free throughout the winter.

• Contractor shall supply and maintain all dumpsters, ensuring they are Forest Service Green or NPS Brown, labeled "NO ASHES", with vendor contact information, and clearly labeled for waste/recycling type.

• Dumpsters must be accessible from the ground.

• Contractor shall provide monthly reports on weights of solid waste and recycling, including diverted amounts and weight tickets.

• Contractor shall provide certification of recycling stream.

• Additive items include providing 20, 30, and 40 CY roll-off dumpsters upon request, with drop-offs and pick-ups within 96 hours. Ad-hoc service on all dumpsters is also requested between December 1 and May 1, with pickups within 96 hours.

• Contract Type: Firm-fixed price commercial contract/award.

• Anticipated Award Date: On or before 04/30/2026.

• Effective Date: 05/01/2026.

• Period of Performance: Base Year (05/01/2026 to 04/30/2027) with four Option Years.

• Quotes are due by 11:00 PM ET on April 6, 2026, and must be submitted via email to dennis_zoltak@nps.gov.

• Evaluation will be based on price, technical capability, and prior experience.

• Offerors must complete and submit the SF18, signed amendments (if applicable), completed provisions, a capabilities statement (limit two pages), and three prior experience references.

• A price schedule for the Base Year and four Option Years is required.

• Full and open competition.

• Offerors must obtain a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and be registered and "active" in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of quote submission and award.

• This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. No written solicitation will be issued.
