Scope of Work
The contractor shall furnish all equipment, materials, and labor for the removal and disposal of approximately 10,600 linear feet of steel cable and wooden post guardrail (3,900 LF from Section 1 and 6,700 LF from Section 2) at Mansfield Hollow Dam. This includes existing wooden posts, anchors, wire cable, standoffs, nuts, bolts, and associated hardware. Post holes must be backfilled with clean 3/4-inch processed gravel, compacted and leveled. The work also requires protection of existing wooden signs, instrumentation boxes, underground wiring, airport lights, and survey markers. All removed materials must be disposed of offsite in accordance with State standards.
Safety & Compliance
Compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1) and applicable OSHA, federal, state, and local safety requirements is mandatory. Key safety requirements include developing and submitting a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), employing a Level 3 Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), and ensuring at least two employees certified in First Aid and CPR per shift (or one if working alone with communication means).
