Quick Summary

The U.S. Embassy Guatemala is seeking quotations for the acquisition of one (1) new Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), model year 2026 or newer, similar to a TOYOTA RAV4. This is a Solicitation (RFQ), and the government intends to award a firm-fixed-price Purchase Order to the responsible company submitting a technically acceptable offer at the lowest price. Quotations are due by April 24, 2026, at 17:00 hours (Guatemala time).

Scope of Work

The requirement is for a new, commercially available SUV with specific minimum features, including: four passenger doors, one cargo door/hatch, air conditioning, a minimum 2.5L gasoline engine, automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, at least 8 inches of ground clearance, seating for a minimum of 5 passengers, leather or synthetic leather seats, airbags for driver and front passenger, a spare tire with tools, Anti-lock Brakes System (ABS), stability control, back-up camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), blind spot assist, high and low beam lights, radio with Bluetooth, rear window defrost, and all windows factory tinted.

Contract Details

This will be a firm-fixed-price Purchase Order. Prices must include all labor, materials, overhead, profit, and transportation, and can be submitted in US Dollars or Quetzales. The price shall be CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) to the delivery location in Ciudad de Guatemala. While Value Added Tax (VAT) is 12%, the U.S. government is exempt and will provide a tax exemption form. Payment terms are Net 30 days, processed by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). No additional sums will be payable due to cost increases or currency fluctuations.
