To provide fuel reduction treatments for the US Fish & Wildlife Service at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) by mechanically thinning vegetation to improve burn unit control lines, thereby reducing wildfire risk.

• Mechanically thin approximately 105 acres of vegetation to expand existing fuel breaks by an additional 100 feet.

• Target vegetation includes dense, mature growth of Eastern Red Cedar, Cedar Elm, Winged Elm, Honey Locust, Bois d'Arc, and other species.
