Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the delivery of:
- Two (2) Subsea Hydraulic Pressure Units (SHPU)
- Two (2) Hydraulic Powered Linear Actuators
These units are for a new prototype system currently in development, intended for use in an undersea "Dump Truck" type system. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination, Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island, with shipping charges included. The best delivery date should not exceed 20 weeks from award. Unique Item Identifiers (UID) are required for items with a unit acquisition cost of $5,000.00 or more.
Technical Specifications
Subsea Hydraulic Pressure Unit (SHPU) (CLIN 0001):
- Operable subsea up to 500 meters, fully operational after 1 year of non-operating submersion.
- Capable of delivering 64 gallons of fluid at 3000 PSI with a minimum flow rate of 1.5 GPM.
- Must retract actuators in a controlled manner after holding extension for up to 6 months.
- Powerable from 330-540VDC or 180-288VDC battery (<3kW desired draw), with standard control interface (Ethernet or CANBus preferred).
- Operable in water temperatures of 25F to 86F, with built-in-test capability.
Hydraulic Powered Linear Actuator (CLIN 0002):
- Operable subsea up to 500 meters, fully operational after 1 year of non-operating submersion.
- Capable of actuating loads up to 100,000 lbs at 3000 PSI.
- Must hold loads at an extended position for up to 6 months without hydraulic pressure (mechanical locking preferred).
- Minimum stroke length of 65 inches.
- Automatically arrest load in case of hydraulic pressure loss.
- Piston supplied with a robust bracket for attachment.
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Purchase Order for commercial items.
- Period of Performance: 20 weeks for each CLIN.
- Payment: Electronic via Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).
- The Government reserves the right to make a single award or split awards for CLINs 0001 and 0002. Pricing for CLINs shall not be interdependent.
