Quick Summary
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), under the Department of Transportation, is soliciting quotations for a non-personal services purchase order to identify roadway design and infrastructure factors influencing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in mitigating rural roadway departure crashes. The objective is to optimize ADAS performance (LDW, LKA, LCA) by providing evidence-based insights and recommendations for improving roadway geometric design and infrastructure. Quotations are due May 11, 2026, by 11:00 AM ET.
Scope of Work
This effort involves a comprehensive review and assessment to maximize the safety benefits of ADAS features on rural roadways. Key tasks include:
- Task 1: Attend Kick-Off Meeting to coordinate and develop a work plan.
- Task 2: Collect, Extract, Integrate, and Evaluate Roadway Geometric Design Elements and Infrastructure Factors through data analysis, GIS, image-based extraction, and safety analysis to identify factors affecting ADAS performance.
- Task 3: Develop Technical Report including outlines, drafts, and final versions with presentation materials.
- Task 4: Develop Outreach Materials such as a peer-reviewed journal/conference paper or a webinar.
