Scope of Opportunity

ATEC offers a diverse set of environments across its test centers, which are national assets. These include:

  • Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), Maryland: Direct-fire, survivability, vulnerability testing, combat vehicle performance, weapon systems, soldier protection.
  • Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), Utah: Chemical and biological defense systems, rapid experimentation in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Counter-UAS (C-UAS), and Launched Effects (LE).
  • Electronic Proving Ground (EPG), Fort Huachuca, Arizona: Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems testing.
  • Redstone Test Center (RTC), Alabama: Aviation, missiles, and sensor systems, environmental and climatic testing, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations.
  • White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico: Missiles, rockets, unmanned systems, directed energy, electromagnetic environmental effects, nuclear effects.
  • Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona: Desert environmental testing, long-range artillery, vehicle performance, air delivery systems.
  • U.S. Army Arctic Regions Test Center, Fort Greely, Alaska: Extreme cold weather testing, position, navigation, and timing.
  • U.S. Army Tropic Regions Test Center, Panama and Suriname: Hot, humid, tropical climate testing.
