Quick Summary

The Department of the Army / Air National Guard is soliciting proposals for the design, furnishing, installation, and commissioning of an operational vehicle exhaust source capture system at Fire Station Building 145, Fresno Air National Guard Base, Fresno, CA. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity with an estimated magnitude between $25,000 and $100,000. Proposals are due by June 12, 2026, at 01:00 PM local time.

Scope of Work

This requirement involves designing, furnishing, installing, and commissioning a complete and operational vehicle exhaust source capture system for the firehouse apparatus garage. The system must be an overhead, direct source capture type, accommodating six (6) vehicle bays (one gasoline, five diesel, including two high-flow Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicles). Key components include exhaust fans, ductwork, flexible hoses, nozzles, automatic activation sensors, disconnect releases, and structural mounting hardware. The system must ensure proper ventilation with a makeup air system to prevent negative pressure. All electrical work requires a licensed electrician.

Compliance & Deliverables

The system must comply with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Air National Guard Engineering Technical Letters (ANG ETL), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. A qualified structural engineer registered in California must approve all structural attachments. The contractor must provide a complete design package for government approval, perform system startup and functional performance tests, and demonstrate effective exhaust capture. Deliverables include the fully operational system, "as-built" drawings, manufacturer's Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, a testing report, and documentation of four (4) hours of onsite training for government personnel.
