Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized services to inspect and operationally test the port and starboard anchor windlasses. The services include inspection and certification of brake band integrity to ensure suitability for continued operation until the next scheduled yard period.

• Inspect anchor windlass brake bands for both the port (W2) and starboard (W1) windlasses.

• Measure and document brake lining thickness, wear, and holding capability.

• Verify brake clearances and air gaps are within OEM tolerances.

• Verify satisfactory operation of emergency planetary gear pins.

• Inspect gear cases, gypsy wheels, brake components, associated hardware, foundations, mounting hardware, and structural components for wear or deficiencies.

• Verify satisfactory operation of anchor clutches and creep speed functions.

• Inspect electrical components, junction boxes, and controls for proper operation.

• Lubricate fittings and moving components as required.

• Conduct operational testing of both anchor windlasses while the vessel is in port, verifying satisfactory operation in all available modes, brake holding capability, and emergency release functionality.

• Document any operational limitations identified during in-port testing.

• Detailed out brief with the vessel Master and Chief Engineer.

• Documentation of any additional deficiencies identified during execution of this work, submitted via Condition Found Report (CFR) if outside the scope of this work item.
