Scope of Work
The project involves comprehensive rehabilitation of fire suppression systems. Key tasks include reprogramming and replacing waterflow switches, repairing air/water gauges, performing 5-year and 3-year ITM tag inspections and maintenance, and repairing backflow prevention assemblies (Ames Colt 400N and LFCOLT 500N-BF). The contractor will also be responsible for updating and correcting inspection tags and obtaining final acceptance from NPS. All work must comply with NFPA 25, NFPA 72, the 2024 International Fire Code, and Texas state regulations.
Contract Details
This will be a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract with a magnitude of less than $25,000. The Period of Performance is 60 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The work will be performed at the Sea Turtle Lab at Park Headquarters Complex, Padre Island National Seashore, 20420 Park Road 22, Corpus Christi, TX 78418.
Submission & Evaluation
Complete quote packages must be emailed directly to the Contract Specialist by April 27, 2026, at local time. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quotation represents the best value and is most advantageous to the Government, considering technical capability, price, and past performance. A highly encouraged site visit is scheduled for April 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time; RSVP is required. Questions must be submitted in writing no later than 3 days after the site visit.
Eligibility & Requirements
This opportunity is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS Code 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors) with a $19 million size standard. Offerors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) with a UEI number and completed Online Representations and Certifications. Prevailing wage rates, as specified in General Decision Number TX20260288 (Davis-Bacon Act), apply for Aransas, Nueces, and San Patricio Counties, Texas. A site-specific Accident Prevention Plan complying with OSHA is required, and work must be performed by licensed technicians.
