Statement of Work (SOW)

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the requirements for the fabrication and installation of a new staircase, handrailing, and entrance handrailing panels, as well as the removal of an existing staircase and cableway bridge at the Rio Chama Trail, San Juan-Chama Project, New Mexico.

• Site Visit: Prospective contractors must attend a pre-proposal site visit on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 11 AM MST. Contact Cord Everetts at (505) 462-3619 to make arrangements.

• Demolition: Removal and offsite disposal of the existing Rio Chama Trail staircase, handrailing, and cableway bridge. Existing concrete foundations must not be damaged during removal.

• Fabrication: Fabrication of a new staircase and new handrailing panels.

• Government Furnished Products (GFP): Contractors will pick up specified steel materials and hardware from the Chama Field Office for use in fabrication.

• Installation: Installation of the new staircase and handrailing, utilizing GFP and contractor-furnished materials for entrance handrailing. Installation of a new kiosk is also required.

• Site Restoration: Restoration of the site to pre-construction conditions, including revegetation of disturbed areas.
