Purpose
This Sources Sought Announcement is for market research purposes to identify qualified contractors and determine the appropriate procurement strategy. The information gathered will facilitate decision-making within the VA and will not be disclosed outside the Government.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for non-personal services to provide comprehensive maintenance and testing for grease hoods, exhaust fans, and chemical Hazmat Sheds. Services include:
- Annual and semi-annual cleaning and fire protection services/certification in accordance with NFPA 96, 17A, 10, and 72.
- Verification of automatic shutdown of fuel sources.
- Photographic documentation of grease hoods and fans before and after cleaning.
- Minor repairs and replacement of parts up to $500 for preventative maintenance.

Eligibility & Submission Requirements
Interested contractors must be registered in SAM.gov and possess a Californian contractors C-16 license. Grease hood cleaning requires certification by IKECA or an equivalent association, and system manufacturers' certification (or equivalent training) is required for fire suppression systems.
