Scope of Work
This project requires the contractor to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, and services for the complete replacement. Key tasks include:
- Demolition and removal of the existing Chiller #7 and associated pumps.
- Installation of a new York Chiller Air Cooled Screw Chiller (Model: YVAA0213) with a 212.1-ton capacity, operating at 54/44 degrees EWT/LWT and 510-520 GPM.
- Installation of two new inline pumps (approx. 500 gpm at 70 ft head) with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Reconfiguration of existing galvanized I-beam structural steel to accommodate the new chiller, with the contractor responsible for appropriate new steel.
- Upgrade of the existing 400A electrical feed to 500A, including a new NEMA 3R 600A disconnect fused to 500A.
- Provision of labor and materials for new piping, insulation (fiberglass with aluminum jacketing), and contractor-provided BAS/automation controls.
- All work must comply with VA, local, state, and Federal occupational safety laws and be performed by certified technicians.
