Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for a comprehensive upgrade and disinfection of the critical water system. Key tasks include:
- Upgrading the Water Tec filtration system to ST108 requirements.
- Installing Nephros MS10 endotoxin filters with Shelco housing.
- Adding sample ports, a flow meter, and a regulator on the discharge line.
- Replacing the UV bulb, water softening resin, carbon media, and Reverse Osmosis membranes.
- Performing initial water quality testing to establish a baseline.
- Sanitizing the system post-installation according to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Conducting validation testing to ensure water quality meets requirements.
- Performing a final leak check and providing owner training on the new system. All labor, parts, materials, and equipment must be provided by the contractor, with work complying with local, federal, and VA master specifications, including the use of schedule 80 PVC. Adherence to VA safety policies (hot work, confined spaces, lockout/tagout) is mandatory.
