- Material Requirements: Non-metallic materials must meet toxicity and flammability requirements of NAVSEA SS800-AG-MAN-010/P-9290. MIL-DTL-24231 supersedes MIL-C-24231.
- Technical Specifications: Adherence to FED-STD-H28 series for thread inspection (internal threads must be cut), specified pressure and test time tolerances, and welding/brazing procedures per S9074-AR-GIB-010A/278, 0900-LP-001-7000, or S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208) and calibration system requirements of ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025 (or MIL-STD-45662). Government Quality Assurance (GQA) at source is required.
- Certifications & Traceability: Provide a Certificate of Compliance for Special Emphasis Material, ensuring traceability per MIL-STD-792. Specific certification details are required for connectors, cables, and junction boxes.
- Configuration Control: Contractor must maintain total equipment baseline configuration and submit Waivers/Deviations and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for approval.
