To perform a one-time deep cleaning of the Kelso Depot at Mojave National Preserve in preparation for its reopening, enhancing visitor experience and addressing health and safety concerns.

This SOW details the cleaning requirements for approximately 11,500 square feet of the Kelso Depot, which has been closed for five years due to HVAC failure. The cleaning is necessary due to accumulated dust, dirt, and rodent-related contaminants. The contract covers most areas of the building, excluding three rooms with historic exhibits which will be cleaned by NPS staff.

• General: All areas require cleaning with appropriate sanitizing (anti-viral) and non-caustic cleaners. N95 masks or respirators are recommended.
• Flooring: All carpeted areas to be steam cleaned and/or shampooed. Hard floor surfaces (including basement foam squares) to be mopped with a sanitizing cleaner. Sweeping is prohibited before mopping due to Hantavirus concerns.
• Furniture & Fixtures: Movable furniture to be moved and cleaned under/behind. Affixed items to be cleaned inside and out. Items from drawers and shelves are to be placed outside for a minimum of two hours of sun sanitization.
• Specific Areas: Detailed cleaning instructions are provided for the Top Floor (offices, mailroom, lunchroom, exhibit areas, restrooms), Ground Floor (ticket office, baggage room, bookstore, exhibit rooms, kitchen, auditorium), Basement (weight room, billiard room, storage areas, restrooms), and Stairway.
• Special Cleaning: Historic wood sash windows and frames require "wet cleaning" with a non-caustic cleaner. Some exhibit areas and items may have special cleaning instructions from NPS.

This is a one-time cleaning service performed at the Kelso Depot, Mojave National Preserve.

• Use of sanitizing (anti-viral) and non-caustic cleaners as specified.
• Sun sanitization for items removed from drawers/shelves.
