Scope of Work
The contractor will provide three new rental vehicles: one (1) 10-passenger van and two (2) 8-passenger sedan/minivans. Vehicles must be no more than three years old, have less than 60,000 kilometers, be in excellent physical condition, non-smoking, and meet both Japanese and U.S. Government safety requirements. Key features include automatic transmission, power-assisted brakes and steering, front bucket seats, radial tires, and heating/air conditioning.
Services include all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs, 24/7 towing, and providing a substitute vehicle if a primary vehicle is out of service for more than 30 consecutive days due to a defect. The contractor is responsible for defects and providing four tires over the contract life, while the Government covers accident repairs, non-operational charges due to negligence, and tire damage repairs. The contractor must maintain specific Automobile Property Damage and Bodily Injury insurance, comply with Japanese Compulsory Insurance (JCI), and adhere to Japanese Road Laws.
