Quick Summary
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Agilent Technologies, Inc. for a Liquid Chromatograph (LC) coupled with Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS). This notice is an intent to award, but the Government will consider responses received within 15 days. Responses are due June 13, 2026.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for an Agilent 1260 Infinity III liquid chromatograph (LC) coupled with an Agilent 7900 inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). The critical requirement is the system's compatibility with the existing Agilent MassHunter software platform and laboratory instrumentation within the Respiratory Health Division/Field Studies Branch laboratories. This compatibility ensures:
- Direct integration with current MassHunter software.
- Continuity of validated analytical methods and workflows.
- Minimization of training requirements and operational downtime.
- Consistent data processing and reporting across platforms.
Market research identified one other vendor with similar analytical capabilities, but their system lacked integration with Agilent MassHunter, requiring retraining, method modification, and incurring higher costs and operational delays. Therefore, only the Agilent system meets all Government requirements for full system integration and operational efficiency.
