Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Office of National Laboratories (ONL) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for MATLAB Software License Renewals. This RFI aims to gather information on programming and numeric computing software platforms capable of data analysis, mathematical operations, algorithm development, modeling, and simulations, along with corresponding service and maintenance. Responses are due June 18, 2026.
Scope of Work
TSL requires a software platform for its federal and contractor personnel in bulk detection, trace detection, and simulant laboratories. The platform must support data analysis, mathematical operations, algorithm development, model creation, and simulations. In addition to licenses, TSL needs software service, maintenance, periodic updates (especially for toolboxes), and helpdesk support. The incumbent contractor is The MathWorks, Inc. for its MATLAB software.
