This solicitation is for the inspection and testing of the VA San Diego Medical Gas System to ensure compliance with NFPA 99 Healthcare Facilities Code. The work involves verifying medical gas systems, including patient terminal outlets/inlets, alarm systems, shut-off valves, and source equipment. Any changes made to the system must be re-certified as directed by NFPA 99.

• Conduct positive and negative pressure medical gas tests and inspections according to current NFPA 99 and ASSE 6000 requirements.

• Specific tests include Standing Pressure, Cross-connection, Valve, Alarms, Piping Purge, Piping Particulates, Piping Purity, Medical Air Purity, and monthly tests of area alarms, master alarms, and associated components.

• Perform checks on medical air compressors, vacuum pumps, pressure gauges, and cryogenic fluid supply systems.

• Provide an electronic and paper report detailing findings, certifications, actions taken, and recommendations.

• Perform approximately 200 hours of labor for repairs to maintain the medical gas system's optimal condition.

• Provide on-site service calls for repairs and malfunctions, not to exceed $2,000.00 per annum for parts and shipping.
