Key Requirements
The training program shall:
- Provide a fundamental understanding of medical terminology and codes.
- Effectively apply to employees with little or no prior experience.
- Promote knowledge retention and continuous application.
- Maintain and develop a workforce capable of processing medical claims.
- Include curriculum, program materials, and a certificate upon successful completion for each attendee.
- Require qualified instructors (e.g., CPC, CCA, CCS, RHIT, RHIA).
- Adhere to performance standards including 100% on-time delivery of materials, 98% schedule adherence, >=80% knowledge assessment results, and >=4.0/5.0 participant satisfaction.
Submission & Evaluation
Interested SDVOSBs must submit a capabilities statement (less than 10 pages, 12 Times New Roman font) addressing specific questions outlined in the Sources Sought notice. Submissions should include:
- Cover sheet with organization details, point of contact, and SAM UIE.
- Company size status and SDVOSB/VOSB verification.
- Experience with government agencies and medical terminology/coding training (in-person and virtual).
- Instructor certifications, delivery methods, curriculum coverage, and adult learning strategies.
- Ability to meet performance standards and security requirements (Tier 1 / NACI, no VA network access).
- Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing for in-person and virtual classes. Responses will be used for market research to determine the acquisition method and identify interested parties. This is for planning purposes only; the Government will not reimburse for submission costs.
