Quick Summary
The Department of Defense (DoD), specifically WASHINGTON HEADQUARTERS SERVICES (WHS), has awarded a Sole Source Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to Lastwall Corp. for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Support Services for the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). This award, justified under FAR Part 12, covers customized upgrades and migration application services for DIU's FedRAMP platform.
Opportunity Details
This contract is a follow-on requirement to provide essential MFA services, including enhancements to existing security modules, upgrades to the Minesweeper module, and comprehensive platform professional support. The services are critical for maintaining DIU's unique IT infrastructure and security environment, encompassing Core Platform Options, Defensive Capabilities Optional Upgrades, and Project Minesweeper Document Security System.
Contract & Timeline

- NAICS Code: 518210 - Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services

Justification & Eligibility
This was a Sole Source award to Lastwall Corp., justified because they are the original developer of DIU's customized IT infrastructure and security environment, making them uniquely capable of providing the required services. A Notice of Intent to sole source was posted from April 23 to May 4, 2026, which generated two responses. Market research indicated no other vendors could provide MFA support integrated with DIU's specific customized security environment without significant cost and operational risk. The government is actively evaluating competitive strategies for future MFA needs as the current system approaches its end-of-life.
