A 90% kill rate is required for targeted species, with re-treatment at the contractor's expense if not met. Services will be performed within the Primary Jurisdiction Area and the "Boneyard" as defined in Appendix A of the PWS.

Special Requirements & Notes
Contractors must be certified to apply weed and vegetation control measures and possess a commercial applicator's license for New Mexico. Chemicals must be approved by Reclamation, with biobased herbicides preferred. A safety hazard analysis and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are required 5 days prior to chemical application. Specific application techniques, including buffer zones around sensitive areas (e.g., osprey nests), must be followed. Coordination with the Navajo Dam Maintenance Supervisor and COR is required for activities impacting cultural resources. Reporting after each treatment period is mandatory.
