Scope of Work
The base project involves maintenance dredging of the Kings Bay Entrance Channel Cut-1N through Range-E. Excavated material will be distributed to the Fernandina Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), Fernandina Nearshore Placement Area, Fort Clinch Placement Area, and North Beach Placement Area.
Incidental work includes:
- Environmental and water quality monitoring
- Vibration monitoring
- Beach fill quality control
- Beach tilling
- Sea turtle and sturgeon trawling
Optional work includes:
- Option A: Fort Clinch pre-placement debris removal.
- Option B: Interim demobilization and mobilization (for cutter-suction and mechanical dredges only).
- Option C: Beach tilling from FDEP Monument R-019 to R-029.
The project is located in the St. Marys River and Cumberland Sound at the Georgia-Florida boundary.
