Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

• Mixing of dirty and clean articles is prohibited, with physical separation required at the laundry facility.

• Billing will be based on finished clean weight, not soiled weight.

• The contractor shall provide and maintain roller baskets and bins for transport, ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized.

• Clean linen must be protected with new plastic covers or bags during transport.

• Specific processes include pre-wash sorting, separate handling of blood work, washing to remove pathogenic bacteria, drying, and folding.

• Operating Room wraps and surgical field towels require special handling (lint-free, no ironing, no fabric softeners).

• Re-laundering due to contractor error shall not exceed 5% per month.

• Pickup and delivery locations include Naval Hospital Bremerton and Branch Medical Clinic/Dental Clinic at Naval Subbase, Bangor.

• The contractor's facility must be located within a two-hour commuting distance of all government facilities.
