• Work Location: A 24,000 sq ft public building including offices, a 100-seat theater, restrooms, exhibit galleries, and lobby space.

• Cleaning Schedules: Includes Midday Cleaning (May 1 - Sept 30, 11:30 AM daily), Nightly Cleaning (after 5:00 PM daily), and Semi-Annual Cleaning (twice yearly).

• Specific Tasks: Cleaning of floor surfaces (including terrazzo), restrooms, windows, doors, wastebaskets, furniture, fixtures, walls, and light diffusers.

• Specialized Cleaning: Maintenance of thin-set polymer terrazzo floors, dusting of bookshelves, and grooming of carpeted floors.

• Services must be performed to meet or exceed established standards, with a focus on quality results.

• Unacceptable work examples include dirt in corners, mop splashes, dust build-up, failure to remove trash, and improper cleaning of fixtures.

• Three written notices of failure to perform within one year may lead to contract termination.

• Site inspections will be conducted, especially during the initial 60 days of contract performance.

• Location: Bureau of Land Management (BLM) National Historic Trails Interpretive Center (NHTIC), 1501 North Poplar Street, Casper, Wyoming 82601.

• Operating Hours: NHTIC is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours are subject to change.

• Green Cleaning: All cleaning products must be Green Seal certified and meet specific environmental standards.

• Personnel: Contractors must employ qualified personnel, provide a Site Supervisor, and ensure all personnel wear company uniforms with identification. Background checks and security clearances are mandatory.

• Safety & Security: Contractor is responsible for building security (locking doors, arming alarms), fire prevention, and protection from damage. Flammable materials are prohibited.

• Reporting: Immediate reporting of emergencies and miscellaneous repairs is required. Lost and found items must be turned over to the COR.

• Utility Conservation: Contractor must ensure efficient use of water and electricity.

• Government-Furnished Items: Government will provide restroom supplies (soap, towels, toilet paper, liners) and floor treatment products for terrazzo floors. Electricity and water will be provided. Keys and alarm codes will be issued to the Site Supervisor.

• Contractor-Furnished Items: Contractor must provide all other cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Janitorial Services at the Bureau of Land Management's National Historic Trails Interpretive Center (NHTIC) in Casper, Wyoming. The government is procuring janitorial services to maintain the facility.
