Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To install an electronic gate at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge.

• Prep Work: Remove all existing damaged gate and fencing equipment and debris.

• Fence Installation: Install 25' of chain link fencing (4' height, 2" mesh, #9 gauge galvanized wire). Includes two in-line posts (2-1/2" diameter galvanized steel, max 10' spacing) set in 10" diameter concrete footings (3' depth), and terminal posts (4" diameter galvanized steel) set in 16" diameter concrete footings (3' depth). Top rails will be 1-5/8" diameter galvanized steel. #7 Galvanized Coil Spring wire will be attached to the bottom for strength and security.

• Gate Installation: Mount one CSL 24 UL Liftmaster operator with two safety entrapments, one photoeye, and one Liftmaster gate edge with receiver. Install a Liftmaster receiver compatible with the Refuge's existing 811LMX and 371LM remote control units. Install a 7-day timer with a hold open switch and battery in an outdoor J-box, utilizing existing electric. Install one gooseneck with a wireless Liftmaster KPW keypad. Install one mini post for OVS-02GT Optex virtual loop for free exit. Install four new gate rollers (two upper, two lower) for a 21' opening. Wire and program all equipment. Set gate limits.

• Test and adjust operation as needed.

• Provide applicable manuals for the operator, timer, etc.

• Demonstrate to government officials on-site how to operate the gate and set the timer.

• Leave the site neat and tidy, including smoothing out surface soils.

• Location: Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, 800 Great Creek Road, in Oceanville (Galloway), New Jersey.

• Utilize existing electric.

• Ensure compatibility with existing remote control units.
