Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide conservation and restoration services, specifically painting and protection, for two (2) United States Air Force aircraft: an EC-135E (S/N 60-374) and a KC-10A (S/N 84-0191).

• The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, and labor for aircraft inspection, repair, cleaning, preparation, priming, painting, and marking.

• Services include repairing surface damage, stripping, cleaning, filling, and applying corrosion preventative coatings and paint.

• Work also includes landing gear and propeller treatment as applicable.

• The contractor must adhere to specified paint color specifications and diagrams, and correctly apply tail number stencils and other external markings.

• Compliance with environmental regulations and proper handling/disposal of hazardous materials is required.

• Painting: Processes (corrosion repair and painting) combined shall not exceed twenty-two weeks per aircraft, weather permitting. Paint quality must be professional with minimal defects (no more than 6 in² per 10 ft²).

• Marking: Exact reproduction of all paint schemes and markings is required.

• Maintenance: Work must guarantee air vehicles are impervious to water leaks and be guaranteed from defects for five (5) years.

• Place of Performance: National Museum of the United States Air Force (NMUSAF) at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio.

• Period of Performance: To be established by contacting the POC listed in the contract.

• Work will be restricted during the USAF Marathon (September 13th – 22nd).
