Scope of Work & Key Requirements

NOAA requires the manufacturing of two propellers (one LH, one RH) with precise specifications:

  • Dimensions: 90" Diameter x 87.05" Pitch @ 0.70R, 5 Blades, 0.6 EAR.
  • Material: ABS Type 2 or Type CF-3.
  • Design: 6.4583" Standard SAE Bore, 16" Hub Length, Puller Holes, Anti-singing Edges, Class I Tolerance. Monobloc or bolt-on construction is acceptable.
  • Manufacturing: Must be manufactured in the United States of America by an ABS certified foundry. The manufacturer must provide ABS drawing approval and undergo an ABS survey during manufacturing.
  • Ancillary: Edge gauges for inspection must be manufactured. Propellers require preservation and packaging for long-term storage to MIL-DTL-2845E Level A standards.
