• Grinding process to be automated with monitoring via Human Machine Interface (HMI).

• Machines must accommodate plates of 880mm x 1000mm with a finished grind surface area of 860 x 850.

• Expected yield of 3 plates within an 8-hour shift.

• Maximum tolerance of +/- 5 micron for plate thickness.

• Surface finish of 4 micron (um Rz).

• Compliance with various environmental, safety (including noise levels not exceeding 85 Decibels), and security regulations.

• Machines must be capable of measuring within required thickness tolerancing.

• Period of Performance: Five (5) years (one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods).

• Delivery and Installation: Within 360 days of contract award.

• Locations: BEP Washington D.C. facility (DCF) and BEP Fort Worth facility (WCF).

• Contractor must have at least two (2) similar grinders in operation within the currency manufacturing industry.
