Quick Summary
The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO), intends to award a sole-source contract to IMS, Inc. for critical watertight door parts and control circuit card upgrades for the NOAA Ship Pisces. IMS is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the sole authorized provider of service, technical assistance, and spare parts for these proprietary, life-critical components in the United States. This action is being pursued under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
Scope of Work
This requirement is for IMS Watertight door parts and upgrades to the control circuit cards, which are no longer supported. The upgrades are essential to ensure the watertight integrity of the NOAA Ship Pisces while in port and underway.
