Purpose
This notice informs industry of the Government's intent to execute a sole source contract under FAR 12.102, Restricting Competition, to Quidel Ortho Sales Company, LLC. The purpose is to acquire a VITROS® 5600 Lab Chemistry Analyzer and associated Cost-Per-Test services for the 20th Medical Group Laboratory at Shaw Air Force Base.
Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide a VITROS® 5600 Lab Chemistry Analyzer capable of performing a wide range of tests as detailed in the Amended Attachment A - Test Menu Requirements. The agreement will be on a Cost-Per-Test (CPT) basis, including all reagents, calibrators, controls, supplies, and preventive maintenance. Key requirements for the analyzer include:
- Compliance with Attachment B – Chemistry Analyzer Essential Characteristics, such as meeting CLIA'88 and CLSI standards, waterless operation, specific sample/reagent storage, and Dry-Slide Technology.
- Compatibility with the Military Health System (MHS) GENESIS electronic health record system.
- Possession of a current/approved Authority to Operate (ATO) certificate from DHA for the specific system model.
- Provision of all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, materials, and supervision necessary for the CPT agreement.
