Scope of Work
This contract builds upon over a decade of research and 4 years of monitoring at the Defiance, OH 10-acre P-optimal wetland site. The primary objective is to evaluate and refine the optimization of these wetlands through continued research, demonstration, and the development of scalable implementation strategies. Key tasks include:
- Utilizing identified characteristics to promote phosphorus (P) absorption.
- Addressing limitations and identifying structural/functional changes to optimize wetland operation and improve P retention.
- Maintaining baseline operations across the site.
- Continuing advanced monitoring.
