Scope of Work
The Payroll Specialist will perform a range of accounting functions, including:

- Maintaining official payroll and accounting records.

Qualifications
Required:
- Demonstrated experience in payroll operations, including pay and leave rules.
- Working knowledge of payroll tax requirements (e.g., wage bases, Social Security limits, 401(k) limits).
- Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and resolve discrepancies.
Preferred:
- Experience with National Finance Center (NFC) payroll systems and Treasury accounting systems (GovTA, Paycheck8, Insight).
- Familiarity with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and travel compensation policy.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in payroll, accounting, or financial operations.
