Quick Summary

The Department of the Navy / NAVAIR WARFARE CTR AIRCRAFT DIV has issued a Sources Sought notice for the manufacture, assembly, and delivery of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for the F/A-18 NOLA Adversary Site Stand up. The Government intends to award this as a sole-source contract to The Boeing Company (CAGE: 0PXV4). Responses regarding capability are due June 1, 2026.

Scope of Work

This requirement involves the production and delivery of specialized support equipment specifically designed for the F/A-18E/F aircraft. This PSE is critical for the stand-up of the F/A-18 NOLA Adversary Site, ensuring the F/A-18 squadrons can perform their duties supporting the Warfighter.

Contract & Timeline

  • Type: Sources Sought (intended sole-source)
  • Intended Contractor: The Boeing Company (CAGE: 0PXV4)
  • Set-Aside: None (sole-source justification)
  • Response Due: June 1, 2026
  • Published: May 27, 2026

Sole Source Justification

The Government's intention to go sole source to The Boeing Company is based on their status as the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the EA-18G and F/A-18E/F aircraft. Boeing possesses the exclusive technical data, knowledge, and experience required for this PSE. Awarding to any other source would necessitate reverse engineering and requalification, leading to an unacceptable 24-month delay that would severely impact squadron operations and Warfighter support. The Government cannot provide the necessary technical details to other contractors.
