Statement of Need (SON)

To procure and install electrical receptacles and fiber optic conduits, along with associated hardware, for an elevated work platform at Joint Communications Support Element, Building 89, MacDill AFB, FL.

• Installation of four dedicated 20-amp quad electrical weather-proof outlets on a 5-level elevated work platform (one on the 3rd deck, three on the uppermost/5th deck).

• Installation of a weather-proof enclosure with an electrical "kill switch" near the staircase entrance.

• Installation of two 200-foot individual 12-pair single mode fiber optic (SMF-28) cables, terminated at user-provided Media Converters on the 3rd and 5th decks.

• Supply and installation of one commercial tan overhead door (16'2" x 12', W6 wind load rated, impact rated, without windows, not insulated, 3" track, 15" standard radius, mounted to steel).

• Connection of the new overhead door to the existing trolley operator, including setting limits and testing.

• Ongoing service for defective items and replacement/repair of damaged items after purchase.

• Design services including space planning, site verification, material selection, and programming.

• Collection of relevant design information through interviews, questionnaires, and facility walk-throughs.

This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
