Project Scope
The proposed project involves the construction of two standard design barracks to accommodate 260 unaccompanied enlisted personnel at Fort Campbell, KY. The scope includes:
- Primary Facilities: Living/sleeping quarters, baths, storage, service areas, building information systems, fire protection, alarm systems, antiterrorism measures, intrusion detection, and Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) connection.
- Supporting Facilities: Site development, utilities and connections (privatized electric, natural gas, water, wastewater), exterior lighting, paving, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, landscaping, and signage.
- Specific Requirements: Self-contained HVAC for units, central system for common areas, post-construction award services (PCAS), DoD antiterrorism standards, building furnishings/interior design, accessibility for individuals with disabilities, cybersecurity measures, and sustainability/energy measures. Facilities must be designed for a minimum 40-year life per UFC 1-200-02. The project also includes the demolition of two existing buildings (6,389 total SF).
