Scope of Work
The contractor will manufacture Stem Retaining Nuts in accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command drawings 6758076 (Find No. IB4) and ER2643-820-23C4, using ASTM-B139, UNS C51000, Temper H04 material. This is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material (Level I) due to the high risk of failure. Key requirements include:
- Quality System: Maintain a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (with ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3/ISO-17025) or MIL-I-45208 (with MIL-STD-45662).
- Traceability & Certification: Strict material traceability and certification (DI-MISC-81020, DI-MISC-80678) are mandatory, including quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis. Electronic signatures are accepted under specific controls.
