Scope of Work
The required services include assessment and emergency treatment recommendations for accidental exposures to medications, household substances, plant ingestions, bites/stings (snake, spider, insect), chemical spills, occupational exposures, and drug overdoses. Services encompass poison prevention information, assistance with drug overdoses, adverse reactions to drugs/chemicals, animal poisonings, hazardous spill management, chronic lead poisoning, and toxic/non-toxic plant information. Contractors must provide unlimited calls to a toll-free Poison Control Center staffed by certified registered nurses, 24-hour access to a Physician Medical Director, customized fax transmissions, hazardous chemical exposure management software, and educational programs/materials upon request.
Period & Place of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2031. Services will be provided to the Beckley VAMC, Hershel "Woody" Williams VAMC (Huntington), Louis A. Johnson VAMC (Clarksburg), and Martinsburg VAMC, all located in West Virginia.
Information Requested
Interested and capable respondents should provide their business name, address, business type, socio-economic status, Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), and point of contact information. Firms must confirm if they are considered a small business under NAICS code 923120 (Administration of Public Health Services). A capability statement demonstrating the company's ability to provide poison control services, along with a summary of previous relevant experience, is required. Information on holding a GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract and its number should also be included.
Special Requirements
The Statement of Work details extensive requirements for Information Security and Privacy Language, including compliance with Federal laws, VA directives, data rights, encryption standards, firewall/web services security, security incident reporting, cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, product integrity, anti-tampering, virus/malware prevention, cryptographic requirements, and patching governance. No Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) will be provided.
