Key Requirements & Instructions
- OEM/Distributor Requirement: Offerors not the OEM must state the OEM (Company Name and CAGE) and provide a signed letter of authorization as a distributor on the OEM's letterhead.
- Repair Process: Offerors must provide an Estimated (EST) repair price for the full effort. Vendors will have 90 days after receipt of carcasses to complete a Teardown & Evaluation (TD&E) and submit a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) quote for the full repair.
- Pricing: Include the cost of new (actual or estimated) for evaluation purposes. Repair prices must cover all costs associated with receipt and complete repair, even for unwhole or damaged materials.
- Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT): The requested RTAT is 180 days. Quotes must specify the proposed RTAT and any capacity constraints. Failure to meet RTAT will incur price reductions.
- Packaging: MIL-STD 2073 packaging applies. Quotes must specify any exceptions to packaging, labeling, inspection, and acceptance locations.
- Quality Assurance: The contractor is responsible for all inspection requirements and must maintain records for 365 days post-delivery. Inspection and testing of repaired items must follow original manufacturer specifications.
