The Department of the Air Force is conducting a Sources Sought for Premise Wiring services at Tyndall AFB, FL. This opportunity seeks qualified small businesses to engineer, furnish, install, and test (EFI&T) premise wiring within Building 549 to support the Unclassified but Sensitive Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet). This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Responses are due by May 29, 2026.
Scope of Work
The project requires the contractor to provide all materials, labor, management, tools, and transportation for the EFI&T of premise wiring. Key tasks include:
- Installation of new network cabinets, UPS, patch panels, network switches, and Fiber Optic Cables (FOC) in existing Comm Rooms 122 and 133.
- Termination of all Cat 6 cables into new patch panels, with all Cat 6 cables being "home run" to approved locations and not exceeding 300 feet.
- Ensuring all equipment and network cabinets are properly grounded and bonded.
- Installation of faceplates flush mount or using raceway/conduit, painted to match wall surfaces.
- Routing cables in a structured, orderly manner, secured with appropriate hardware, and fire stopping all penetrations.
- Using plenum-rated cables where required and "Blue" colored sheath for new Cat 6 cabling.
- Labeling, testing, and certifying all new cable installations to Category 6 specifications.
- Restoration of all disturbed grounds, base property, and working areas to their original condition.
- Disposal of project waste off-base, with removed premise wiring transported to DRMO.
Management & Schedule
A full-time, on-site Project Manager is required, along with quality assurance support. The contractor must provide a milestone schedule and chair weekly Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings. The Period of Performance is not to exceed three months after project start. Routine work hours are 0600-1500, Monday-Friday.
Deliverables & Warranty
Key deliverables include As-Built Drawings, Work Schedule, Status Reports, Meeting Minutes, Test Reports, Test Plan, and Acceptance Test Plan. A one-year warranty is required for both the system/project and workmanship.
Security & Place of Performance
The work is UNCLASSIFIED, but personnel accessing classified areas may require a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Contractor personnel must wear identification badges. The Place of Performance is Tyndall AFB, FL.
