Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for the complete design, fabrication, inspection, testing, documentation, delivery, and installation of three modular maintenance work stand sets. These stands must be compatible and interchangeable with existing work stands, feature recessed hardware, and include collapsible engine stand forward railings. The scope encompasses various stand types, including Conect/Crown, Staircase, "Pig Pen", wing, nose, engine, and fuselage stands. On-site assembly and installation will occur at Tinker Air Force Base. Contractors must be ISO 9000 compliant.
Performance Requirements
Stands must comply with OSHA, NFPA, AWS, ASTM, and AFOSH standards, meet specific load capacities and height adjustment requirements, and feature weather-rated electrical and compressed air components. The design must facilitate easy setup and disassembly, with a final fit-check with aircraft required.
Special Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate at least 15 years of experience in aircraft stand/work platform fabrication. A Quality Assurance Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of experience with ASME Y14.100 is required. The vendor must submit designs for review at 25%, 75%, and 100% completion stages and provide training, operation, and maintenance manuals. Compliance with on-base requirements at Tinker AFB is mandatory.
