This is a solicitation for MVP-200 Moving Vessel Profiler parts for the NOAA OMAO MOC-A. The government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract based on best value, considering authorized dealer/vendor/distributor status, availability/delivery from after receipt of order (ARO), and price. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside.

  • Three (3) AML-Oceanographic P/N 00102B000, Single Sensor Tow Body – MVP200
  • Two (2) AML-Oceanographic P/N 00102A004, MVP200 SSFFF Retaining Cup
  • Three (3) AML-Oceanographic P/N CSE-0069, Tow Cable Re-termination Kit #7
  • Two (2) AML-Oceanographic P/N PKG-MVPX2-CTD-10, MVP•X2 Instrument configured with CT-X2change and P•X2change, depth rated to 1000m
  • Two (2) AML-Oceanographic P/N TSE-SSF-PWM-AML-200, AML Power Module and Cables for integration into the MVP 200 SSFFF Towbody.

• Shipping costs must be included in the price.

• Offerors must provide the first page of their SAM registration, an itemized/detail breakdown of costs, and proof of being a manufacturer, distributor, or authorized dealer/reseller.

• Vendors must acknowledge all terms and conditions and state their extent of agreement.

• This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside.

Statement of Need

To procure replacement parts to restore full system functionality of the MVP-200 Moving Vessel Profiler system installed on NOAA Ship THOMAS JEFFERSON.

NOAA requires the purchase and delivery of the following items:

The MVP-200 Moving Vessel Profiler is a specialized system used on NOAA hydrographic survey vessels to collect sound velocity profile data. This data is crucial for configuring multibeam sonar systems. The system consists of a computer, winch, tow cable, and a towed body with MicroCTD sensors. A previous loss of the towed body and sensors necessitated this procurement for replacement parts.
