Scope of Work

This project involves the life-cycle replacement of HVAC systems at JBSA-FSH Buildings 590 and 591. The contractor will provide project management, labor, tools, materials, and equipment to deliver complete, commissioned, and fully operational HVAC systems. Key tasks include:

  • System Replacement: Replacing existing SPX ReCold, Model: MW-30C units with "brand name or equal" fluid coolers, pumps with motors, and control panels.
  • Mechanical & Electrical: Installing new water piping systems (supply, return, makeup, overflow, drain lines) with associated components, and connecting all wiring, conduits, disconnects, and controls.
  • Demolition & Removal: Safely disconnecting, dismantling, and removing existing HVAC systems, recovering refrigerants, and disposing of all debris off-base.
  • Installation & Testing: Executing installation per manufacturer instructions and codes, performing startup, commissioning, and water leak detection tests.
  • Site Cleanup: Maintaining a clean work site daily and performing final cleaning.

Key Requirements

Proposed equipment must meet or exceed the Salient Characteristics outlined in Attachment 3. This includes specific performance, electrical, fan, and heater requirements for the fluid coolers; flow rate, motor, and electrical specifications for circulation pumps; and power, protection, and enclosure standards for the control panel. A comprehensive one (1) year warranty on all furnished materials and labor is required.
