Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The objective of this study is to define normal aging-related changes in the human brain, charting where pathology occurs, and to examine the effect of redox stress on healthy aging and PTSD participants. This involves assessing cognitive health and utilizing blood tests to differentiate Alzheimer's risk.

The contractor shall provide all necessary resources, including unique instrumentation and expertise, to accomplish the planned work. Key tasks include:

• Processing blood samples provided by the VA using APOE and pTau217 assays.
• Performing tests on pre-frozen EDTA plasma/buffy coat/red blood cells or extracted DNA stored at -80°C.
• Processing samples individually and providing pTau results in ng/mL.
• Delivering sample test results to the VA study team within 15 days of sample receipt.
• Notifying the study team within 10 days of receiving insufficient samples, with reasons.

The contract period of performance is not explicitly stated, but estimated quantities for blood assays are provided for three years: 25 samples per year.

Contractor Qualifications:
